Ma engi endgame setup & attacks etc

Hello.

My MA Engi is now level 137 and i like it verry much, Even the big fun will straks when i can selfcast Slayerdroid Transference!
I got allready more AR at lvl 137 than my 200 froob fixer had, (In slayer trans).
Since i got the money to make my Engi uber, I ask your help to discuss what's the best for AR/AAO.

What i know that is better that i still need is:
* Lya's Sangi Slippers
* Smelly Butcher Gloves (If iam ever been able to get thosie on RK1 as neut froob)
* 200+ refined imps
And iam still wondering what MA Attacks i should buy later?
Since we dont need Nano&Aiding skills when the engi rebalance comes, Only tradeskills i think we got alot more spare IP than.

Bird of prey for dmg?
Blessed With Thunder?
Flower Of Life for heals?

The MA attacks isnt really clear for me, Someone have an idea?

Yea i bougth an QL197 ELLTS now, adds +15% crit "Woot :D"
And how about the MA Attacks that i should use?
I never had an high level MA or so, So i have no idea really :)

Flower of Life is a staple for any MA. Hits for a bit of damage and snares your enemy while healing you for a lot. Locks dimach. Great for emergencies.

I usually keep Upon a Wave of Summer around because it's a great root/snare breaker while snaring your target and sometimes stunning them. Thanks to this attack, my MA is virtually unsnare/unrootable. This one locks riposte.

Aside from those two, the others are all about the same. (I know, I know, they're not the same at all.) You should keep one or two around that you like a lot, since the rest all lock martial arts skill and do some amount of damage. There are of course differences, such as Angel of Night doing AoE damage and others have stuns, etc... I find that the ones that I use most rarely are the ones with the fewest side effects, such as Bird of Prey and Attack of the Snake since they do the least damage. The upside is that they lock MA skill for the shortest amount of time. I really probably should do the math and see which one of these actually does the most overall damage over time. The ones that I use most often are Blessed with Thunder, Bright, Blue, Cloudless Sky or maybe Shen

Upon a wave of summer is not usable by engineers.
Best damage seems to come from Blessed With Thunder. It does about the same dps as bird of prey/attack of the snake (16-17 dps at ql 200), but also adds a dot.
A lot depends on the situation really.
The 100 % stun and nano-init debuff on 'Bright, Blue, Cloudless Sky' is nice, but you lose a lot of damage and the stun won't work on boss mobs.
In some cases you better use a burst of damage: Shen does 1 big hit, but then locks MA for 17 min... resulting in very low average dps.
Angel of night does AoE damage, while that's nice, it's useless in most situations.

ooh, I wanted to add I have no clue what kind of skills you have/can get, so I just looked at ql 200 for all of them. The different reqs on them might result in needing other qualities.

My advice regarding MA attacks is this:
If you're against a high HP mob in PvM, use Blessed with Thunder. BwT works well only over a long period of time, but deals the most damage. The nano cost is irrelevant considering that you are unlikely to cast anything much during battle. It is unlikely to work well in PvP because you have to wait out the full 40s for its effects to be apparent. If you can survive that long as an engi with your opponent still alive, then I applaud you. =D>

If you're dueling, use Bright Blue Cloudless Sky or Shen. Both provide a nifty stun that can make or break your duel, along with a huge burst damage (and a prolonged init debuff if you use Shen). If timed correctly, you can disrupt healing long enough to finish off your opponent. It's long cooldown prevents sustainable use however.

If you're doing Battlestations, use Bird of Prey. The damage is instant and considerable, and there's always that 10% stun chance which will land more often than you think it would. The cooldown is low enough to use often.

And in any and all of the situations above, if your health is low, use flower of life. It takes some skill and intuition, but if you can predict how a fight will go through the course of a battle, you can "save up" your MA attack to unleash flower of life in the last moment. E.g. if you're dueling someone who you think may alpha you in the start, but doesn't have much HP himself, you can use flower of life as a burst heal to buy you some time.

Yep with my bot + slayer trans.
And i can do much better, Iam now lvl 150! So that means alot more AAO and add melee dmg and some points in MA :)
Also cant wait till i can equip my 15% scrit schope!
