Crat Macro

While digging thru the discard pile for my old AO setups, I came across the important crat macro.

You need the pet info bar up (always). It allows you to pull pets out of the fight for healing, and bunch of other stuff, and for this macro, you stop them in their tracks with Wait (while bringing other pets back).

Code: Select all

/pet "%t" free

This is how you convert your short time charms back into long time. How you get credit for killing 100%. How you keep from getting dusted, etc. Select the pet in the info window, then press the hotbar key

whatch out, if the two charmed pet have the same name, both will be freed... (like cultist for exemple)

Not a problem. You must have highlighted the pet and you can see that on the minimap, etc. I don't think it actually follows the name, but the id associated with the highlight. I've done it dozens of times, and I usually have two identical pets.

two identical pets with identical names?

It will release both if they have the same name. It will not associate it with the selected pet cause %t comes out as /pet Filth Flea Free, not /pet "that one" free

Hidden gems like this is why I necro read old posts here at AOFROOBS.

I have been playing pet classes for years and never seen this in any other pet guide or source.

I am glad you found something useful (although this macro is actually already included in your ingame macros if you browse your pet commands)
