aofroobs health check

Got something related to in-game that doesn't really fit elsewhere? This is the place.

One reason for AO having a lot of people at times and nearly none on some other times might very well be caused by the fact that most people nowadays have countless of alts at their disposal and multiboxing seems to be more and more common phenomenon. And this makes it more and more difficult to get a team even though a lot of people are seemingly online. Dark days are truly coming....

As mentioned above, it's hard to get a discussion going without being guilty of either necro or FTS (Failure To Search). Though I must say, as a relative noob; every time I have asked a question, it has been answered quickly and kindly.

We'll work on correcting this right away. I'd hate for the site to be accused of being too kind. ;)

My professional and completely unbiased analysis says the decline of activity on AOfroobs is caused by the new look. People still come to the page for specific information but they no longer browse outside of specific sections due to the *insert random criticism of the new look*.

If you look at trader ma thread taradax pulls me up for necro-ing a post that was only 6months old, still on the front page of the trader forum, and which added additional information to the topic ....he's tight ;)

but I'd have to agree ...there isn't much that hasn't been covered on these forums and the froob200 bot on RK1 seems so quiet...

We better ask World trader as I'm sure he can tell us if he's feeling the pinch.

I'll assume you're referring to this post? It was a necro but it did contribute to the discussion. If it wouldn't have, I'd probably have locked the thread.

I only discovered today that froobs can post to the official forums now. I've been basically done with AO for ages. Right now I'm a DDO froob.

Looking at the pictures now seems pointless because they lack a description or discussion.
I miss the old gallery aswell. Think i have mentioned it before, but think it was not possible for snarf to implend with current forum style.

News to me that froobs can use the official boards now, although it doesn't seem to be granting me access. When i set my forum details, they don't seem to be saving nor is anything being E-Mailed too me.

I hope the official boards don't end up flooded with spam threads about how froob accounts should get access to X and the like though...........

Apart from one poster who seems to enjoy antagonizing the paid players, no, it's basically business as usual.
