Froob configurations

Post by Randomchance » Wed Dec 22, 2010 1:07 pm

As requested below are the auno configs for some of my old toons. None of these configs will be changing, so no comments or suggestions are necessary.
Feel free to add your own configs to this thread if it will be useful as examples to the collective.

Randomchance - the trick is to take off the glasses and swap them with the skinchip. As long as you take off a part it resets the not with ga flag. Can self cast ga, and all the froob nanos except for the top teir deroot/desnare which have silly requirements. (Refer to the GA friendly items thread)
Metalomania - the combat engineer. IP was tight raising the majority of tradeskills as well as weapons. From memory I have the barest minimum in burst/fling to equip the PoP and not be oe. Can cast all the froob nanos with mochams.
Ninelives (alternative) - pretty standard Advy evade and dd setups.
Emotionalone - nanoskill focused MP without sacrificing too much ac/hp. Can cast all the nanos in current config.
Brightsparks - combat NT. Love the shotgun as it always gives solid hits between RB. Not the best DD because I never bothered to push the instant nuke cycles with my connection. If I was not in it for the style I would go for an EQB. Happy now EDTA?

Gablerg - nanomage enforcer goodness. Used to eat the lvl60 trox with gta and styg combos for breakfast back in the day.
Goldenwish - Turnspirit trader. Was one of the more memorable runs through to 200. Having the ncu for buffs from the army, and predrained combat led to some good fights bathed in buff effects.
Killermuppet - opi 'gent. Spent most his life pretending to be something else. As I had already run through most other classes by this point, really felt like a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none.
Pocketrocket - the cold turkey experiment on rk1 without any support toons. Mid level config. CAC config. Final config.

Oh??? How can a single weapon result in 2 hits in 2.5 seconds? Don't think you even get the 1000 ranged init required to make it 1/1...

This is my current setup. Please note that things like rings might be swapped depending on the situation. Also note that that the values displayed below are not accurate.

Attack... Recharge... Attack second time...

As long as attack+recharge is shorter than 2.5 second, it'll work :)
Hmm, I don't get it... Casting resets attack, so it has to start from 0:
after 1 sec: first shot
after 2 sec: first shot recharged
after 2.5 sec: attack is halfway and gets reset to 0.

Since casting is not automated there might be some extra delay and it could be 3 sec so first time you could get 2 hits I guess. But next time it would be: recharge - attack - recharge then: only 1 hit (and she said 'always' 2 solid hits).

What am I missing...?

This casting while in recharge is a strange concept.

Have you noticed that when you do cast during an attack phase....although the attack seems to reset , the attack speed then appears to be twice as fast as normal therefore negating the nano cast interrupt time?

I always assumed that it was just me lagging. My attack bars never seemed to line up with the actions. Anyway, it doesnt really matter as its not something I am ever going to check on sparky. Perhaps it could be split off to a new thread....
