Changes to the -000 weapons in 18.6.17

Michizure has updated the -000 weapon series, giving them lower requirements and adjusted damage ranges (see official forums).

Taking the Bolter Cannon - C0C which is a fully upgraded - 000 weapon, an initial look at the damage ranges (and calculating average for comparison) has the following results.

It seems that these weapons will provide an acceptable "baseline" level of damage across many level ranges, but won't overtake the current dyna/dungeon weapons at their appropriate level.

Two new really good weapons. The reqs on Skawt's Plasma emitter are kinda high, so it's mostly for end game. But the compact version can be equipped quite early, and it can be dual-weilded!
I've been using the compact versions myself since about lvl 100, and they're probably better than anything else you could equip at that lvl.


Kinda sucks that they're ranged energy though, so rrfe and tms X will have to wait quite a few more levels if you choose to go with these.

How does the plasma emitter compare to other endgame froob soldier weapons though? It seems that it has better min/max damage, better atk/rechg cycles, and thus, better special attack cooldowns than all the hellspinner variants. Is it the best endgame weapon now?

It seems the best end game weapon for froob soldiers. It has as good damage range as Augmented Hellspinner, with specials that are roughly as fast as in TS Assault Riffles and attack speed that is closest to Neutrino Flash. Even better is that since RE does not conflict with FA clusters, you can implant both!

To put in other words: think of Augmented Hellspinner that hits 10k FA every 40s and is fast enough that you can use it full deff.

Mmm seems like there's little reason to use any other weapon as a soldier now. In fact, plenty of non-nano dependent professions could use both of these weapons. So long as you don't need that shining nanoskills cluster in the head, this would probably be a great weapon for most ranged professions. Can't wait to see this on a trader :P

Not to mention the 1500 MBS, and that it does cold damage as well, which is great in PvP because most people have cold-AC holes

If auno buffs still hold true Ranged Energy Weapon Mastery increases target RE by 70.
This could make some interesting osb twinks in lower levels.
Even with 75% oe it will still outperform ql 100 blackbirds.

So there is a new toy to bridge the gap between the starter island weapon and the Neutrino Flah.
