When kiting you still have to stop to cast?

Post by Toebiter » Sun Jan 31, 2010 1:09 am

Seriously dumb question, but never played an NT before and I am just trying out one now, and the running and casting isn't clear to me. You have to stop to cast right?

Yes you do. But you can start running again during the recharge.

The higher skill you have in Nano Init. The faster you will cast your nuke. By the time you are at decent kiting levels, your casting will literally split seconds. Your "stop" will barely be a skip during your run.

Apparently you can walk while casting, as I saw an engi walking a bit during a warp
Adios, thanks for the fish

Yes, but when starting to cast you still need to be completely motionless. Running interrupts/aborts, walking doesn't.

Part of my problem understanding stuff is that the NT I used to play with was very good, things just seemed to happen.

Thanks for the information, more questions to follow. ;)
