If you can't be bothered reading all that, here's my guide for making a successful keeper:

1. Roll Atrox
2. Level to 220
3. Max Atrox Primary Genome and Reaver
4. Place Mongo Rage on your 1st hotbar slot, followed by all your damage perks/specials
5. Click on your target and piano-roll your numpad. (can be done while on the phone, reading a magazine, etc.)

also forgot:

- pay loads of cash for keeper only weapons or camp endles hours for them.
- switch implants at each 10 levles to be sure ur in top of DD
- get better armor at each 10 levels to assure your survival, and pay loads of cash for it
- along APG and reaver max Aura of Revial and Bio Cocoon and Street Samurai and Crusade and.... darn not enough perks in 220 levels for that.
- deal with half of the idiots who think a keeper can be used as an enf (puller, tanker, aggro manager, etc)
- be pacient with the other half of idiots asking you "behe plx" each time you park in front of FT
- etc

Everybody has to switch implants/armour/weapons regularly if they want to be in top form, so that's not really a valid point.

Also, claiming that you don't get enough perk points to max everything you want goes for most professions as well. Atrox Keepers get some of the most overpowered perks in the game and are damn near invincible at 220.

My guide wasn't completely serious, I know. I know there is a lot more to being a Keeper, but like I stated, I was merely shortening the Keeper guide and there's no denying that following those steps will make you a "good" Keeper

P.S. Encountering noobs in the game is a problem we all have to face at some point no matter what profession we play. Keepers are one of the luckier profs who get the benefit of the occasional noob tell as opposed to the frequent noob and other player buff begging tells.

Agreed to all your points.

But, hey, I've read your post imediatelly after I was called a "sucky keeper" coz I could not get the aggro from doc, even I throw all the alphas in. Was kinda the last drop. Sorry for being bitter.

Keepers are expensive. Atleast, non-gimp ones are. So it's not a bad idea, but it's not gonna be too easy or cheap.

It is tough to level a keeper. You will face most difficulty around TL4, due to lack of choice when it comes to weapons. Once you outgrow the styg, you will face the choice of forking out a lot of credits for an Excalibur or Sword of the Illuminated or sticking with an inefficient weapon for your level until you can get a Frost-bound reaper. However, once keepers reach 200+, they have it pretty easy (or easier than most professions, i should say). In the end it just boils down to how much time and patience you have

I wonder how a Panther would do in the hands of a keeper, as intermediate between Stygian and FBR.
