Archive.org never captured the old Tir School of Engineering site because the site was java and flash based, so that's gone forever.
This is legitimately depressing to me.

Re: AO in the light of vanilla WoW

So, my initial efforts have not yielded much. I've contacted a lot of people so far, mainly third party AO tools devs and private server community leaders of other MMORPGs, but nothing to show for it yet. There's some others that I'm still trying to find contact info for, including the mysterious pr...

Re: AO in the light of vanilla WoW

I came across https://www.reddit.com/r/anarchyonline/ ... o/dttcts5/. Does anyone have any idea who this is? He sounds like someone I need to get in touch with for the benefit of this project.

Re: AO in the light of vanilla WoW

@Matammyr. There is a AO clone in production as we speak. They're actively coding the game and are on Twitter all the time. I'm not at home and am blanking on the name of the game - Grid Games? fake edit - lemme check. here. http://i65.tinypic.com/2s0g3sj.jpg and http://i68.tinypic.com/vzx0r6.png I...

Re: AO in the light of vanilla WoW

Alright, after reading everything and watching the video, it is pretty clear that (and I'll be charitable here) me and FC are after two completely different segments of the MMORPG playerbase, so I'm going on with this project full steam. A partial list of things my server idea will implement (I'll r...

Re: AO in the light of vanilla WoW

Hm, interesting. I guess my timing was terrible. In any case, the fact they are doing this is further proof of it being a good idea. Even a company as small as FC is willing to risk it on the "I liked it when MMORPGs weren't just a marketing network to sell things to you for real money" playerbase. ...

AO in the light of vanilla WoW

This is something that I have been thinking about for years, and relates to the well-established discourse surrounding MMORPGs in general (they're all terrible now), and how a large segment of the market is being ignored by the big companies. The reaction to this was private servers, and then Blizza...

It took me a day to remember what my password was for this site. Glad it's back.

Re: [FOR REAL NOW] HELLCOM/TARA ACCESS FOR OMNI/NEUT FROOBS

I'm new/from RK1 and I've never been to a Tara raid. Message me or any of the other RK2ers in game and we'll give you the tour and what the orders mean and so on and so forth. I have never been in a raid  Where can I read the basics? Like: voice comms, looting, assisting, afk'ing, etc. Haha, ...

Slightly off topic, but can froobs start orgs again or is that still a no-go for us?

Re: The Hardcore fr00b Experience

After catching up a little on all the changes since I've been gone, I have less desire to return to the game than I ever had.

This is a great idea though and I wish you the best of luck!

Re: The Hardcore fr00b Experience

I actually had a similar idea a while ago and wanted to try it as well but never got around to it. My plan was to play the game in "14.9 mode" - meaning I would use no gear, buffs, or play any content that was implemented after the 14.9 patch (reason being is that it was the last patch before SL).
